Sushi Zushi

Located in Southlake, TX. They also have locations in Austin and San Antonio. We have eaten at the Austin location too. The sushi is a little more on the expensive side but worth it. We have been going here a lot so get ready for lots of rolls to try.

We have been ordering Edamame a lot! The Ginger dressing salads are good. They are pretty big so we will spilt that sometimes as a small appetizer. The salad in Austin, I remember being pretty big and had giant cucumbers.

I have ordered a Mimoso once. It was good. However, I LOVE their Peach Red Mojito. Great drink! I love when we make it in time for happy hour prices. Our Edamame and drinks are always  cheaper.

Mimoso

The first time we went to Sushi Zushi, we were still pretty new at the whole sushi thing. There menu was overwhelming. I definitely recommend reviewing the menu before you go so you can make a good choice. I still review the menu before and we have been there several times.

I love the way they have it grouped by fish. I like to pick rolls that have different fish so we have variety. I also love ordering from the Signature Roll section.

These are the rolls we ordered the very first time. I am not sure what they are... they look great though.

Stone Oak- unagi eel, kanikama crab, avocado, and cream cheese, rolled maki style and tempura fried. Drizzled with eel sauce.

LIR- spicy tuna, avocado and chives rolled uramaki syle wrapped with fresh salmon. Drizzled with our sweet and spicy LIR sauce.

The waiter said this was the #2 roll in the company. I enjoyed this roll. It was fresh and unique. I do not think Wasabi liked it as much as me but he would get it again.

Pepper Tuna Roll- kanikama crab, tempura crumbs, avocado and chives rolled uramaki style wrapped with pepper- crusted tuna topped with Las Vegas and smirch sauce.

We enjoyed this roll. It was recommended by our waiter.

Toreado- kankiama crab, serrano chilies and avocado rolled uramaki style with sesame seeds. Topped with your choice of scallops or crawfish baked in spicy mayo. Sprinkled with chives.

We ordered this one with scallops. The waiter said it would be similar to our "volcano roll" we love. Wasabi and I both did not enjoy this one too much. The texture was funny. I would not order this one again.

Boston Roll- tempura fried kanikama crab, avoacdo and cream cheese rolled uramaki style. Ranko breaded and deep fried. Drizzled with eel sauce.

We had this one in Austin too. It had such a unique texture from the Panko breaded. We liked this one a lot. I do not remember liking it as much at the Southlake location. However, I would give it a try.

Cosimo Roll- Fried shrimp and cream cheese ricked uramaki style, wrapped in avocado, then tempura fried. Topped with Tampa Bay sauce, sprinkled with furikake seasoning and drizzled with eel sauce.

This was a big roll and big bites.

Oaklawn Roll- fried crawfish rolled uraamaki style topped with your choice of spicy tuna or spicy salmon, wrapped in avocado. Topped with four colorful caviars drizzled with wasabi cream sauce.

Toranado- off the menu. I do not remember what was in this one. It looks similar to the Toreado but is different.

FBI- kanikama crab, cream cheese and avocado rolled uramaki style, wrapped with unagi eel. Topped with eel sauce and sesame seeds.

We have "yummy" next to this roll on my menu.

Lincoln Heights- spicy escolar, avocado and cilantro rolled uramaki style, wrapped with fresh yellowtail and salmon. Drizzled with our special Citrus Habanero sauce.

Kapalua- unagi eel, cream cheese and avocado rolled with rice, no seaweed and topped with fresh pineapple. Drizzled with eel sauce.

Spicy Tuna Tower- A foundation of sushi rice layered ith Tampa Bay sauce, masago and sliced avocado topped with your choice of spicy tuna or salmon. Sprinkled with furikake and drizzled with wasabi cream sauce. The Tower is prepared table side and garnished with orange tobiko, black tobiko and wasabi tobiko and habanero masago.

Strawberry Roll- shrimp tempura and masago caviar rolled uramaki style and wrapped with fresh tuna, avocado and strawberry. Drizzled with kiwi lime sauce and Las Vegas sauce.

New York Roll- Unagi eel, cream cheese, avocado rolled uramaki style, topped with tempura fried kanikama crab. Drizzled with eel sauce.

Cayman- kanikama crab, habanero masago, seaweed salad, cream cheese, pickled jalapeƱos and avocado topped with fresh sliced jalapeƱos, drizzled with honey wasabi sauce and rolled maki style.

We LOVE Sushi Zushi! An empty plate and a happy stomach! Sushi craving covered!

Name That Roll

I have these pictures from a Sushi Zushi visit but cannot figure out the name of them. I will have to ask next time we go.
